Site Engineer (Mechanical/ Civil) - FIFO

  • $65k - $90k + Super + 25% uplift
About the Opportunity
With ongoing works on a major FMG mine site, our client is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Mechanical or Civil Site Engineers for an ongoing FIFO role on a 2&1 roster. Being a secure and long-term project involving mostly SMP works, including HDPE pipework, boring, valves, and minor associated civil works, this is an opportunity to secure valuable experience in the resource industry with an established and reputable contractor going through a growth phase.
  
Skills and attributes required in this role include;
  • Engineering Qualified (Mechanical or Civil)
  • Ideally 2-3 years of experience in a contracting environment
  • Exposure to HDPE pipework is highly advantageous
  • Must be Perth-based and prepared to work on a 2&1 roster
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop rapport and build relationships
  
Responsibilities include:
  • Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors, planners and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
  • Ensure all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
  • Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors
  • Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site
  • Provide engineering and technical supports
