Senior Mechanical Engineer - Water

About our Client
As a national, award-winning, and highly respected D&C contractor with a strong reputation within the WA utilities sector, they can boast long-term relationships with major clients across the country and a revenue approaching $100m. With their WA business going through sustained growth, we are seeking the services of an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive design experience within the water sector.
About You
You will be a motivated, and dynamic mechanical engineer with minimum of 5 years industry experience, preferably within the WTP/ WWTP sector with a strong understanding of Australian Standards.  Exposure to Water Corporation specifications will be highly advantageous.

As the senior mechanical engineer in the WA business, you will have the opportunity to progress into a Design Manager role, with exposure across national projects providing a safe and secure long-term career path within a nationally recognised, and awarded contractor.

Our client is also interested in engineers from the design consultancies seeking to make the switch to the construction sector. Interstate/ NZ applicants with appropriate working rights are invited to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Required Skills & Attributes
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications a with a minimum of 5 years professional experience
  • Proven experiences working in a design role on Water or Wastewater programs/projects
  • Possess extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the application of standards, detailed knowledge of current industry standards, the development of conceptual and detailed design, and design management of mechanical infrastructure, particularly relating to the water utility sector or similar.
  • Ability to complete designs within cost budgets and time schedules
  • Prepare detailed documentation and specification requirements for Electrical components in order to support procurement and delivery of allocated projects
  • Produce designs that meet project quality safety and environmental requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and have ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
