With the business going from strength to strength, they are now seeking a dynamic and motivated Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to join their progressive team through this exciting growth phase.
  
About the Opportunity
Reporting into the Regional Manager, this is an office-based role in either the Brisbane or Sunshine Coast office, working a Monday to Friday, 40 hour week supporting both precontract and post contract commercial activity on projects across Australia and the Pacific region.

 We are seeking expressions of interest from commercially astute, experienced QS/CA professionals with strong contract knowledge and a track record of managing the full contract lifecycle on complex civil, piling, marine and general construction projects.

Pre-contract responsibilities may include:
  • Reviewing tender documentation, drawing up risk registers and commercial summaries
  • Assisting with pricing strategies, subcontractor/supplier negotiations and scope clarifications
  • Preparing and reviewing contract conditions, amendments and special conditions (FIDIC, NEC, AS 4000/4300, bespoke)
  • Supporting tender interviews, post-tender negotiations and handover to project teams
Post-award responsibilities may include:
  • Administering head contracts and subcontracts through to completion, including variations, EOTs, claims and progress claims
  • Managing contractual correspondence, notices, RFIs, instructions and document registers
  • Monitoring cost-to-complete, cash flow, budgets and monthly commercial reporting to management
  • Liaising with project managers, site teams, clients and subcontractors to protect commercial position and resolve disputes
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in a QS/CA or commercial role on civil, marine, piling or infrastructure projects in Australia
  • Sound knowledge and practical application of standard forms of contract including: FIDIC, NEC, Australian Standards (AS 4000, AS 4300) and bespoke contracts
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-contract tender support and post-award contract administration on projects over $20m
  • Strong ability to identify, quantify and manage commercial risk and opportunity
  • Proficient with contract documentation, progress claims, variations, cost reporting and forecasting
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build rapport with internal teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
