About Our Client & Project
As an ASX-Listed junior miner making the transition into the mid-tier level, our client is embarking on an exciting journey to become a global leader in the industrial minerals sector, with approvals granted for the development and execution of a $1bn greenfield project in the Pilbara, set to be one of the largest of its kind in Australia, and potential to become the largest in the world over time.

With a 4 year program of works, this is a long-term opportunity to take this project from FID stage, right through construction and commissioning. This project is guaranteed to be a defining project in the Industrial Minerals sector for years to come.

About You
In order to qualify for selection, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
  • Degree Qualified (Civil/ Mechanical or Equivalent)
  • Proven track record in leading/ managing large-scale construction projects in the mining sector involving process plant.
  • Experience in both EPC & EPCM environments with an awareness of construction complexities on both sides.
  • Minimum 15 years in Project Management roles within the mining sector
  • Strong contractual and commercial acumen, with the ability to prepare and manage budgets and cash flow management.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership qualities
Responsibilities
Reporting into the Project Director, your responsibilities will change as appropriate according to the project stages but will include the following:
  • Manage the engineering of the various project elements
  • Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, plans and procedures for the engineering and technical work
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, preparing budgets, bids, and contracts
  • Assist in developing the contracting strategy for various construction packages to be tendered and awarded and ensuring the Owner’s Team seamlessly integrate with the lead execution contractor
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs whilst measuring project performance using appropriate methods
