We are partnering with an award-winning, highly respected multidisciplinary consultancy delivering complex projects across the mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors in Western Australia. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are seeking an experienced Civil & SMP Planner to join their Perth CBD-based team.
This role offers a long-term secondment model, providing exposure to a diverse client base including asset owners, EPCM consultancies, and Tier 1 contractors. You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, contributing to the successful planning and delivery of major capital works.

This role offers a long-term secondment model, providing exposure to a diverse client base including asset owners, EPCM consultancies, and Tier 1 contractors. You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, contributing to the successful planning and delivery of major capital works.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 across civil and SMP scopes.
- Prepare baseline programmes, progress updates, and recovery schedules aligned with project requirements.
- Integrate cost, resource, and risk data into project schedules to support effective project controls.
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities.
- Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate sequencing and alignment.
- Monitor progress against key milestones and provide clear, data-driven reporting to stakeholders.
- Support tender planning, including methodology development and programme submissions.
- Facilitate planning workshops and contribute to project strategy and execution planning.
- Ensure schedules comply with contractual obligations and reporting frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience as a Planner across civil and SMP projects within mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
- Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project delivery models.
- Proven ability to work across full project lifecycles, from concept through to execution and close-out.
- Highly articulate, well presented, and confident engaging with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- You MUST have valid working rights for Australia
- Perth CBD-based role with no FIFO requirements.
- Monday to Friday 40-hour week
