Contract Administrator - $400m Tier 1 project

Due to a recent promotion, a specialist Tier 1 contractor has appointed us to search and select a Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor for their electrical contracting division. This national building services contractor is financially strong with zero debt and a group turnover of $500m+, over 1000 staff; self-performing high-profile Tier 1 CBD projects to $50m.
Working on a high profile Perth project of $400m, we are looking for an energetic Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor who has exposure to variations, progress claims, letters to clients, reporting and forecasting with experience in services being advantageous. A hunger and drive to make margin on your projects, strong upstream negotiation skills and an assertive personality with client facing attributes, you will be autonomous in running this $40m contract with 1 direct report in assistance.
Minimum criteria for the Contract Administrator / Quantity Surveyor:
  • 5+ years experience as a Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor for a Contractor
  • 3+ years experience working in the Perth building sector
  • Tertiary Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • Strong commercial acumen with detailed understand of Australian Standard contracts
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Perth based or enroute
