Contract Administrator - $300M Civil Project

As an award-winning, national and multi-disciplined infrastructure contractor going through significant growth with an exciting portfolio of projects on their books, our client are proud providers of contracting services to blue-chip mining, resources and infrastructure clients across WA.
About the Opportunity
With the recent award of a major $300m D&C project, you will be reporting into and assisting a Senior CA in managing commercial and contractual aspects for the project sections under your control. You will assist in achieving the completion of the project on time whilst ensuring commercial targets are met and risk is minimized.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinating all cost engineering, cost reporting and forecasting
- Preparation of monthly progress claims
- Assisting in the preparation of request for quotations for subcontractors and supply items
- Conduct negotiations with short listed subcontractors and supplier and arrange and supply contracts to be let
- Assessment of subcontractor and supplier variations and payment claims
- Preparation and submission of monthly commercial report
- Preparation or Variations, Notices of Delay and Extension of Time Claims
In order to be shortlisted for this opportunity, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualified - Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying etc
- 5 - 10 years of construction experience working for a Tier 1/ Tier 2 contractor
- Robust understanding of Australian Standard forms of contract (eg. AS4902)
- Will be able to demonstrate good tenure in past employment
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Prior MRWA contract experience is advantageous
- A proven ability to work as part of a team
