As an established Tier 1 and award-winning major EPC contractor with a diverse portfolio of works including major transport, energy, water/ wastewater, our client has built a proud history in the delivery of technically challenging projects across Australia and abroad. They are going through an exciting growth period in Australia fuelled by a strong pipeline of projects across the Transport, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, and Resources sectors.

About the Project
With the recent award of a large Hydro Electric project with over 3 years construction program, we are seeking an experienced Construction/ Project Manager with strong technical experience in underground mining/ excavations using Drill & Blast, and Shotcrete methodologies on a Fly-in, Fly-out (FIFO) basis in Queensland.

With an initial (short) period based in Brisbane going through a short design period, you will then be site-based on a 14 & 7 rotation.
Essential Criteria:
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (eg. Engineering qualified)
  • 10+ years management experience, working with large tier 2 or tier 1 mining or civil contractors.
  • Ability to proactively influence and educate engineers and supervisors to achieve productivity targets.
  • Demonstrated experience working on underground mining or civil projects using drill & blast as excavation techniques.
  • Will understand inherent risks, opportunities and safety requirements in remote works
  • Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills for the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Subject to your experience, yu will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary between $270,000 - $295,000 + Super, and with an impressive pipeline of similar projects over the next 10 years the intention is to retain your skillset for the long-term on other projects.
