The Company:
Our client has appointed us exclusively to search and select a Construction Manager / Operations Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation) for their growing Mining and Industrial division. This reputable 50+ year old National Contractor is at the top of their game with a group turnover of $500m+ and over 1000 employees.
About you:
We are looking for a seasoned professional Construction Manager / Operations Manager who will thrive in an opportunity to help grow the WA Mining & Industrial business. You will already be entrenched in the heavy industrial, resources and infrastructure electrical & instrumental space in WA and have strong relationships with sub-contractors and clients in this sector. The role:
As part of the senior leadership team, you will report to the GM as his 2IC and be responsible for all aspects of construction delivery from tender award onwards. The successful candidate will lead a team of Project Managers and be responsible for overseeing multiple projects and project teams. You will be  focussed on delivering successful E&I projects safely, on time and to budget with a satisfied client, providing the company with future repeat business Relationship management of both clients and vendors will be a key part of the role.
The Projects:
Typical projects include electrical and instrumentation works on non-process infrastructure & processing facilities in the resources and heavy industrial sectors.
To be considered for this Construction Manager / Operations Manager opportunity you MUST meet the following minimum criteria:
  • 15+ years heavy industrial electrical & instrumentation experience in resources for a Contractor
  • 10 + years demonstrated experience in a Construction Manager, Operations Manager, Project Director or Senior Project Manager role
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills
  • Ambitious, driven and proactive leadership characteristics
  • Sound commercial acumen and proven budget management skills
  • Exceptional IT skills
