Commercial & Contracts Manager

About the role
As an established civil contracting organisation operating across multiple market sectors including energy, infrastructure and resources, our client is seeking an energetic and dynamic Contracts/ Commercial Specialist with sound leadership skills, and experience in the local WA engineering and construction sector.

Essential Criteria:
  • Degree in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • 15+ years industry experience, working with large tier 2 or tier 1 contractor organisations.
  • Ability to proactively influence and educate engineers and supervisors in commercial best practices.
  • Extensive experience in managing claims and disputes, with intimate understanding of AS2124 and AS4902 forms of contract.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse contractual / legal issues and provide solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques with support from in-house council.
  • Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills.
  • Good communication skills for the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a fulltime, 40 hour a week role located in Perth CBD. Salary range is $210,000 - $220,000 + Super.
